IRAS 2023 (April 02-04, 2023, Belgrade, Serbia) - Full paper template

Dear IRAS 2023 participants,

First of all, thank you for your contribution to this symposium, we hope you enjoyed taking part in this event!

Secondly, we want to inform you that the full paper template is available on conference website https://web.fe.up.pt/~iras/ (or directly by going to https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1o1z2srNn_X-4dNZaO0lG34hij6dcm_RS).

Full paper should be sent to iras@fe.up.pt.

As a reminder, papers presented at this Symposium will be peer-reviewed and published in a Special Issue of the Open Access Procedia Structural Integrity journal. Please, stick to the symposia topics listed here https://web.fe.up.pt/~iras/topics/

Paper should contain 3-8 pages, and need to be sent by May 20, 2023!

Upon receiving papers for Procedia Structural Integrity, an invitation for Special Issue of Engineering Failure Analysis (EFA) journal will be sent to selected authors. Please, keep in mind that even though papers for EFA Special Issue are extended version of papers for Procedia Structural Integrity, the similaraty should be kept as low as possible. Also keep in mind that the extended version of  paper should be made according to EFA guidelines for authors and journal topics: https://www.elsevier.com/journals/engineering-failure-analysis/1350-6307/guide-for-authors.

Alternatively, you can send your expanded paper to the Special Issue of the Scopus referenced DIVK journal.

Dear friends and colleagues,

Due to many requests, the Programme Committee has decided to extend the final deadline for abstracts until March 25th, 2023 for IRAS 2023 (April 2-4, 2023, Belgrade, Serbia)!

This Second International Symposium on Risk Analysis and Safety of Complex Structures and Components (IRAS 2023) is organised by ESIS TC12 on Risk Analysis and Safety of Large Structures and Components (in-team TC12), which will take place in Belgrade, Serbia, located at the confluence of two large rivers, Sava and Danube, from April 2nd until 4 April 2023.

This Symposium topics cover recent advances in maintenance, safety, risk analysis, probabilistic assessment, life-cycle performance, fatigue, fracture, damage mechanics, numerical simulation of a wide range of infrastructures, such as, engineering technical systems, transportation systems, bridges, buildings, dams, railways, underground constructions, wind and transmission towers, offshore platforms, pipelines, naval vessels, oceanic structures, nuclear power plants, airplanes and other types of structures including aerospace and automotive structures etc. More info about conference topics are listed here.

Respected keynote speakers at IRAS 2023 are:

Bioinspired strategy to break trade-off between strength and toughness

Exploring the Local Fatigue Approaches to Improve the Structural Integrity of Metallic Structures and Mechanical     Components

Strength of Materials and Fracture Mechanics

Size-Effect in Fracture Mechanics Testing by Using the Weibull Jc Cumulative Distribution Function

Fatigue lifetime of a howitzer cannon - Dražan Kozak, from University of Slavonski Brod, CroatiaStructural Health Monitoring by Embedded System for Remote Strain Gauge Measurement

The use of hydrogen as an additive to improve the characteristics of low-calorific value gaseous fuels

Accepted abstracts will be available in the Book of abstracts.

The peer-reviewed papers presented at this Symposium will be published in a Special Issue of the Open Access Procedia Structural Integrity, published by Elsevier.

Extended versions of selected papers will be invited for Special Issues of Engineering Failure Analysis, ESIS affiliated journal (Elsevier) and Structural Integrity and Life (DIVK) journal.

There is still time to join us for this event!

We are looking forward to seeing you in Belgrade in person... or on-line!
