Medical Careers

Education:  Associates in Science Degree from Shasta College, Credential from San Diego County Office of Education in Medical Careers.

Experience:   Rochelle joined ROP in 2018 with over 10 years experience in patient care. She is a former ROP student and received her CNA certificate in 1996. Rochelle has been enjoying her different rolls at the ROP.  She started here as a Vocational Technician in the Medical Program and is now co-teaching with Lisha Stockton in one of our Patient Care classes.  She is looking forward to returning to facilities and teaching her skills with hands on experience this year during our externships. 

Automotive Technology & 

Smog Certification 

Education:  A.A. from Santa Rosa College, Teaching Credential from University of California, Berkeley

Experience:  Ed is a military veteran with four years active service and seven years inactive reserve.  He worked in the automotive industry for 25 years and has been a teacher for 15 years joining the ROP staff in 2004.  Ed is very excited to be adding a new class in Smog Certification this year.

Peggy Porter

Administration of Justice

Education: San Jose State University - BA in Sociology with concentrations in Criminology and Family and BS in Criminal Justice Administration. 

Experience:  Peggy has joined ROP after retiring from 19 years of experience in law enforcement.  She began her career as a police officer with the Salinas Police Department and moved to the Redding Police Department where she served this community as a police officer for 17 years. During her career, she was an instructor on the Defensive Tactics Team, a member of the Traffic Resource Team, and a School Resource Officer.  She excelled as a Crime Scene Investigator with over 15 years experience as a member of the ID Tech Team with the Redding Police Department. She is excited to bring her law enforcement experience to the students at ROP as the instructor for Administration of Justice Program. 

Child Psychology & Careers with Children

Education:  California State University, East Bay - BS in Liberal Studies.  University of California, San Diego - CTE Teaching Credential in Education, Child Development & Family Services

Experience:  Prior to coming to ROP, Kali worked as a pre-K teacher and had several years of experience working with young children at a preschool.  She has a bachelor's degree in liberal studies from CSU, East Bay.  She started working for ROP in 2017.  Kali is an outstanding new teacher for us and has been improving our successful program with her curriculum preparation.  

Raimund Schulze

Education:  Education: BA Simpson University, MBA National University 

Experience:  Raimund has been involved in technology for over 20 years of experience in technology management. He started his career in Higher education where he worked for over 10 years spearheading advance the technology infrastructure to support the institutions marketing and online presence. He then worked as a consultant for several years before starting his own technology company. He managed his technology company for over 12 years before selling it and becoming a full time teacher. Raimund is excited to share his knowledge and experience to help train and inspire students in technology and cyber security.

Firefighter Training & Public Safety 

Education:  Associate in Arts Degree from Shasta College, Credential from San Diego County Office of Education in Public Safety.

Experience:   Nick graduated from a program similar to ROP when he was in high school, he then went on to work for Cal Fire for a couple seasons. Nick has been a member of Shasta County Fire for the past 6 years and continues to run calls with Bella Vista Fire Department. Nick is a certified EMT, State Fire Marshal instructor, CSTI instructor and ESCI instructor. Nick taught at Shasta College for 4 years before coming to ROP.  Nick is excited to bring his knowledge to ROP and teach the next generation. 

Lisha Stockton, RN

Education:  Associate in Arts Degree from Maurine Church Coburn School of Nursing, Associates Degree in Science from Monterey Peninsula College, licensed by the State of California as a Registered Nurse since 1999 and Credential from San Diego County Office of Education in Medical Careers.

Experience:   Lisha received her Registered Nurses license from the State of California in 1999.  She has been in the nursing field ever since.  She is trained in pediatrics, critical care transports, NICU as well as emergency room nurse.  She worked at Shasta Regional Medical Center in the emergency Room when she started with us and still currently works there on an as needed basis.  She has continued her education to get accreditation in Mobile Intensive Care Nursing, Trauma Nursing, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, EKG, as well as she has her accreditation for SANE- Forensic Nursing and is one of only three nurses servicing the north state.   

Lisha has been a Bella Vista Elementary School District Board of Trustee since 2012. She is an active participant in her community and health wellness.  She enjoys teaching our students and has been a wonderful addition to our staff.  With her knowledge and expertise our students are receiving top notch instruction in Medical Careers.
