Year 10 Football
Year 10 were in action again on Tuesday, travelling to Brompton Academy. In awful weather the boys twice came from behind to secure a 2-2 draw and maintain their unbeaten start to the season. Goals from Harry K and King O secured us a share of the points but shout outs to our defensive pairing of Olly B and Cairo who won our joint man of the match award!
Year 11 Spanish Intervention
In Spanish intervention last week, Year 11 students were set the challenge of creating balloon towers. They were given a range of topics from the GCSE specification and had to come up with 10 pieces of Spanish vocabulary, relating to each topic, to put on each balloon, before sticking them together to see which team could create the tallest balloon tower. Well done to all, you showcased your Spanish knowledge and showed excellent teamwork!
Year 10 Netball
Friday saw the turn of the Year 10 girls take to the court and they had a superb morning showing teamwork throughout to qualify for the “Premiership” afternoon! Some tough contests saw the girls secure 4th place overall! Another unbelievable achievement! Star player goes to Phoebe! Well done to all, we are so proud!
Year 9 Netball
On Thursday, the Year 9 Girls travelled to The Mascalls for a LAT Netball tournament. The girls showed resilience and respect throughout their morning matches which saw them qualify for the “Premiership” final. Strood secured a joint 3rd place finish in this event! Well done girls. You should all be very proud of your achievements. Star player goes to Elisha!
