Open Evening 2024
On Thursday 3rd October between 4pm and 7pm, we will be holding our Open Evening event, where parents and carers will have the opportunity to come and see the fantastic things we do here at Strood Academy. You will be able to speak to our team about admission procedures and transition events, meet the college teams, as well as sample a variety of activities held by each of our departments. Our Principal's address will start at 5pm and then again at 6pm.

We have a wide range of extracurricular activities run by the PE department here at Strood Academy both during lunchtime and after school. We would highly encourage all students to attend these clubs to further develop their skills and indulge in activities they enjoy. We look forward to seeing many of you there.

This week, Year 7 parents and carers had the opportunity to meet their child's form tutor at our 'Meet the Tutor' event. It was a delight to hear students' feedback on how they are settling into Strood Academy. We thank all parents and carers of Year 7 students for attending this event. Another successful week for Year 9 students, impeccable uniform standards continue as well as exceptional behaviour which facilitates an ideal learning environment.
We encourage students to begin having conversations, both with teachers and parents and carers at home, regarding GCSE Option Choices and the route they would like to take, which best aligns with their future plans. We will soon be sharing more information regarding Year 9 Parents and Options Evening, where students are able to continue these conversations with their subject teachers.

As we progress through the first module of this academic year, our Year 11 students' dedication to their learning continues to shine through. Their commitment and engagement within lessons as well as in their intervention sessions is outstanding and we are sure we will see the benefits of this as the academic year progresses.

Year 11 intervention sessions began last week and we have been pleased with the attendance so far. These sessions are designed to provide targeted support to students in key subject areas.
