Week 5
Module 3 2025-26
Dear Parents and Carers,
I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for your continued support.
This week has been exceptionally busy at the academy, with Year 12 criminology assessments taking place daily, Year 11 careers interviews, a Year 12 trip to Auschwitz, University of Greenwich mentoring for our Year 11 pupils, outreach sessions in Science, SEND coffee mornings, a Performing Arts trip, and a visit from MP Lauren Edwards. Additionally, we have had a full schedule of sporting activities and fixtures.
Looking ahead, next week marks our final week of Module 3 before the February half-term break. We will conclude the term on Thursday, 12th February at 3:20 PM, as Friday, 13th February is an INSET day at the academy.
We are excited to host the official launch of our T-Level Suite, welcoming many Trust executives and board members.
Furthermore, we will hold our Parent Forum commencing at 6pm on Tuesday.
The module will close with Year 10 parents’ evening starting at 4pm on Thursday. Please ensure you book your appointments in advance; should you have any concerns, do not hesitate to contact your child’s college team.
Thank you once again for your ongoing support, and we wish you a restful weekend.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Jon Richardson
Principal
Leigh Academy Strood
Strood Stars is our weekly celebration of students who go above and beyond at Leigh Academy Strood. Each week, awards are given for achievements such as the Principal’s Award, the Head of College Award, and the Highest Reward Points across different year groups.
These awards are a really important part of life at our academy. They recognise students who work hard, show great behaviour, and demonstrate our values of being respectful, resilient, inquisitive, and kind. By celebrating these successes, Strood Stars inspires everyone to aim high and be the very best version of themselves.
It is not just about individual recognition—it helps bring our colleges and whole school community together, creating a positive atmosphere where achievements are noticed and celebrated.
