Fiona believes that spending time together, especially over a cup of tea, can bring so many positive effects. This time can be simply chatting or maybe doing an activity together.
She is also a keen advocate for maintaining physical and mental health, particularly into older age.
She has spent most of her career in the NHS but has also spent 5 years in the heritage/museum sector facilitating groups for older people. These groups have included those living with dementia and their carers, social groups for older bereaved people, seated exercise classes and walking groups as well as activity groups which have included baking, gardening, crafts, music, singing and dancing.
Fiona is a Founder and Trustee of the charity.

Fiona has been involved in an international research project quantifying the effects of socialisation and activity in people living with dementia in a heritage setting.
She has also presented at national and international conferences on the subject of the positive effects of socialisation in older people.
