Out first plan of action is to contact the central office at Rocky Mountain Prep Schools to request a meeting with the CEO, Tricia Noyola, and RMP board members. We will request an in person meeting for a day and time that is most convenient for the school government officials to ensure the majority of decision makers and people with the power to make needed changes can be present for our proposal pitch. If we can't arrange our own meeting, we will request some face time to present our information at the next scheduled board meeting.
The next thing we will do is prepare a presentation for the Westwood leadership team. We will choose 2 student leaders from each class period to be part of our proposal team and we will prepare them for this initial presentation. We will ask our leadership team for feedback on how to improve our proposal and ask them to support us. Once we've revised our proposal and made the necessary improvements to have their support, we will ask them to communicate our proposed policy to parents and families and to share it with school staff members. We will also request community time to have small teams of students present our new policy to Westwood students. We think students will be more likely to accept this new policy when it is proposed by their peers opposed to the school leadership team.
The final action step will be to share our website along with an online petition where all members of our community can show their support for our new policy. We will use social media and face to face marketing tactics to get as many people in our community as possible to sign it. This website and our petition will become part of the presentation we give to the CEO and RMP board members in hopes of influencing their decision. Below is a list of the individuals, groups, and government officials whose support will be necessary for us to be successful.
