Class overview
6th and 7th Grades Literature and English:
Our primary text will be myPerspectives with supplemental material from multiple media types. Students will read traditional novels according to that quarter's theme, use online tools for assessments, projects, and presentations, study vocabulary and write for various purposes. Accelerated Reader is still an important component of the curriculum. Learning to read for pleasure is a skill that lasts a lifetime.
Resources
Many of our online resources are accessible directly via the student's Google Classroom account. Texts and assessments from Savvas (my Perspectives and Writing Coach) do not require an extra login.
The sites below have links and students log into by going to the resource site including IXL (multiple subjects), Renaisance Learning (Accelerated Reader), and Sadlier Connect (Vocabulary Workshop).
