Hello CLEARly email reading parents 🤣
Wednesday June 10 is Happy 250th Birthday (red, white and blue attire and accessories. USA!!!). Learners are encouraged to wear red, white and blue and support this BIG birthday celebration. They can go all out - clothes, socks, hats, costumes!
Speaking of Birthdays...This week is the kickoff for our Kids Helping Kids fundraiser benefitting The Birthday Party Project which provides actual birthday parties for homeless and sheltered families. We Mean Business will be open for business tomorrow (Wednesday), Thursday and Monday. Learner established companies have a wide variety of must-have items for sale. The CLEAR Cade (Cardboard Arcade) will open their games on Monday, 6/15 (3rd grade), Tuesday, 6/16 (4th grade) and Wednesday, 6/17 (5th grade). Bracelets for play go on sale this Thursday and Friday. All items for both events are priced $1 - $5. (Encourage your child to spend their money…we’ll take yours too). These Learners are working very hard, please support their efforts.
Birthday gift collection will follow soon. Please do not feel obligated to donate or contribute. We are blessed to share our Catholic Social Teachings with our learners and to demonstrate that service supporting these teachings is important.
God bless,
Mrs. Sheffield
Week THREE Messages
Happy Sunday!
What a GREAT Friday! The Divine Mercy Chaplet was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Many thanks to Mrs. Alvizo for so thoughtfully organizing and to Ms. Corsi for sharing her musical talents. Your learners sounded like angels led by Elizabeth, Mr. Krause, Mr. Coffin and Mrs. McCoy. Special thank you to Father Mark Nguyen for explaining the Adoration and presenting the Blessed Eucharist to our learners. Following Adoration, learners created about 300 beautiful cards for The Birthday Party Project honorees.Â
Warning: This is a loaded email…lots of info!
Here are the highlights for week three:
Monday, June 15 We Mean Business and CLEAR Cade continue their efforts to support The Birthday Part Project. They have collected over $1000 so far. Ask your learner what happens if we reach the learners’ goal. See Wednesday for ways to help.
This just in…tickets for CLEAR 2027 Raffle go on sale Monday morning for just $5 each or 5 for $20. ALL proceeds go to Kids Helping Kids support for The Birthday Party Project.
Tuesday, June 16 WORLD CUP/INTERNATIONAL DAY . Celebrate our world wide unity. Wear your favorite soccer jersey or wear colors of your Team’s flag! Dress up with something from another country or culture. We are all brothers and sisters no matter where you are or where you are from in the world.
Wednesday, June 17 PARTY TIME… our own Birthday Party Project Party, cupcakes and ice cream included of course. Learners are invited to bring a new unwrapped toy. You can check out their Amazon Wishlist for ideas. If you wish to make a monetary donation, please go here. Or you can donate directly on the Birthday Party Project website. If you don’t mind…please let us know the amount (on their website) or number of toys. I have a promise to keep our learners if we meet “their” goal. Toys will figure into that total as well.Â
