CLEAR Week Two Message

Happy Sunday,

Hope you and your Learners are enjoying your weekend. Our Mini Field Day was a great success. Here are the highlights for week two:

• Tuesday, June 10, let’s make Tuesday CRAZY sock day - funny socks, mismatch socks, sock it to us 😂

• Wednesday, June 11,  GOD BLESS AMERICA DAY. Wear stars, stripes, red, white and blue. Mrs. Sheffield’s Technicolor Hair salon will be open for a little USA hair color.  $1 minimum donation benefitting Kids Helping Kids and permission note from parent required (just a quick note and signature on any piece of paper).

• Friday, June 13,  begins with the Divine Mercy Chaplet followed by our Your Way Is Better Service Day. Please have your learners attend. Parents are welcome to join us for the Chaplet at 9:15 in the church.

We will initiate our Kids Helping Kids Service Projects this week. As our learners explore Catholic Social Teachings in our GUTS classes, they will have opportunities to serve folks in our community. Learners are busy preparing  snack bags for Dallas area homeless and underprivileged kiddos. On Friday, they will work in community filling their joyfully decorated backs. Please pick up an item or two to donate if you can. Get your scholar involved in the process...using their own money would be great. Any of the items listed below in ANY quantity would be wonderful!

Snack Packs:

• Water bottles (16.9 oz)

• Juice Boxes

• Chips/Snacks 1 oz bags

• Breakfast/protein bars/granola bars (watch out for melty chocolate)

• Cookies - Individual packets; Bags of two if homemade are great 🙂

• Mints

A second project will support Project Gabriel. We are planning a “Baby Shower”. Your learner will share information with you soon,

This week is the kick off for our Kids Helping Kids fundraiser benefitting Project Gabriel which supports moms and babies in need . We Mean Business will be open for business (W, Th and M). Learner established companies have a wide variety of must have items for sale.  The Cardboard Arcade will open the games on Monday and Tuesday. Bracelets for play go on sale Thursday and Friday. All items are priced $1 - $5. (Encourage your child to spend their money…we’ll take yours too). These Learners are working very hard, please support their efforts.

Baby Shower items will follow soon. Please do not feel obligated to donate or contribute. We are blessed to share our Catholic Social Teachings with our learners and to demonstrate that service supporting these teachings is important.
