Daniella Coffey is the second-generation owner of the oldest soul food restaurant in Chicago, and she is dedicated to preserving the legacy of her family's business.
Coffey grew up in the restaurant world, watching her parents run the front of house and back of the house with equal fervor. She credits them with instilling in her a sense of pride and responsibility that has served her well throughout her life.
When she took over as owner of St.Rest #2 Country Kitchen, she made it her mission to keep alive the traditions that have made the Country Kitchen such a beloved brand for more than 50 years. In addition to serving classic dishes such as fried chicken, greens, and macaroni and cheese, soon Coffey will be introducing extended hours, and brunch. These new items will satisfy changing tastes—including the breakfast menu that has become one of Country Kitchen's most popular demands.
