Our mission was to raise awareness about the issue sustainablity because 5 trillion ziploc bags are bought yearly and they take 1,000 to photodegrade and turn into microplastics and so it would harm our environment and the society. Therefore overtime we thought of a product which solves these problems. For the process of making this product scroll down!

First, we gave ideas to our agency, trialled them, and then chose a final idea for our product, which we are presenting to you.

After we gave our ideas and chose a few final designs we planned out how we want to make this product. We then narrowed it down to two options wax paper and parchment paper after heavily trialling both options we ended up choosing parchment.
During this one of our concerns with using paper was wet stuff going into the bags. One of our original ideas was paper bags which we then changed to parchment and trialled here are a before and after of water being applied to a sheet of parchment vs water.

After planning how the product will look and how it would look we tested some of the material to make sure that it is the right material to use for a sustainable and sturdy product.
