You are your child's first and most important teacher.
Our Mission
Parents as Teachers builds strong communities, thriving families and children who are healthy, safe, learning and ready for school. We do this by promoting the optimal early development, learning and health of children by supporting and engaging their parents and caregivers.
What We Offer Families
Home Visits
Personalized family visits by a certified parent educator. The educator will share age-appropriate child development and parenting infomration, help you learn to observe your child, and address your parenting concerns.
Group Connections
Families have the opportunity to meet other families in the program to share experiences, gain new insights, discuss parenting topics and enjoy some fun activities.
Developmental Screenings
Developmental and social/emotional screenings will be offered yearly to assess your child's overall development.
Community Resources
Parent educators can link your family to services in the community not offered by the Parents as Teachers program.
