Dear Family Members,
My name is Mrs. Mollenhour, and I have taught in the Strasburg School District for a total of 8 years. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Art Education from the University of Central Missouri (UCM) and a Masters Degree in School Counseling from the University of Missouri (MU). I am a member of the Missouri School Counselor's Association (MSCA) and attend conferences annually. I live on 8 acres with my husband, our 14-year-old daughter, a dog and 2 cats. We enjoy spending time at the lake boating and doing other outdoor activities.

In accordance with the Missouri Comprehensive School Counseling Program (MCSCP), the counseling program I will be implementing throughout the year will include the following four components:
School Counseling Curriculum
Provides structured lessons for all students.
Focuses on knowledge, attitudes, and skills in academic, career, and social/emotional development.
Delivered through classroom instruction, group activities, and school-wide programs.
Individual Student Planning
Helps students set personal goals and monitor progress.
Includes activities like developing academic/career plans, reviewing progress, and self-reflection.
Encourages students to connect current learning with future opportunities.
Responsive Services
Addresses immediate needs and concerns of students.
Includes individual and small-group counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, and referrals.
Helps students navigate personal and social challenges.
System Support
Ensures the counseling program is effective and sustainable.
Includes professional development, program management, data collection, and school improvement planning.
Supports collaboration with teachers, parents, and the community.
