7:45 - 8:45 - Arrival Activities and Free Play: Children choose from a variety of planned activities, as well as our dramatic play area and the blocks and cars areas.
8:45 - Clean-Up: An important part of our social development where we learn cooperation and taking responsibility for our classroom environment.
9:00 - Circle Time: The class comes together for morning prayers and Pledge of Allegiance, calendar time, music and movement, SmartBoard activities and Storytime.
9:30 - Outdoor Recess: Playground time and activities for large muscle development, exercise, and free play.
10:00 - Center Time: Children rotate in small groups to three centers that are generally aimed at literacy, math and fine motor skills. Social studies and science activities are rotated in on certain days.
11:00 - Part-day students dismiss; full-day students participate in some quiet reading or yoga.
11:30 - Lunch: Children either bring lunch from home or may order hot lunch from the school cafeteria. Lunch together is also an important social time for the children, as well as a time to practice manners and discuss healthy eating habits.
12:00 - 1:15 - Bathroom breaks and Quiet Activity Time - some time to relax, color, or watch storytime on the smartboard
1:15 - 1:45 - Jesus Time: We learn about God through stories and songs. The children are led to an understanding that each of us is made by God and is blessed by His unconditional love.
1:45 - 2:15 - Outdoor Time: Playground equipment or exploration and discovery on school grounds.
2:45 - Prepare for Dismissal or Afterschool Program
