Classroom Counseling: School Counselors work closely with administration and teachers to develop a Counseling Curriculum that meets the needs of the school.
Individual Planning: School Counselors work with administration, teachers, and parents to provide services that help students make transitions from one grade level to the next, especially 5th to 6th and 8th to 9th.
Responsive Services: School Counselors assist students who have unique needs through individual counseling, small group counseling, and consultation/collaboration with parents, teachers, administration, and community agencies.
System Support: School Counselors manage the guidance program and support other school programs through guidance program evaluations, school improvement involvement, professional development, community outreach, and fair-share responsibilities.
