The CAA assessment asks questions in contexts. Students are expected to solve problems that require sums (operations on numbers), understanding the relative size of those numbers, and making sense of an answer.

Learners must demonstrate competency in all three outcomes in the assessment:

Outcome 1: Formulate mathematical and statistical approaches to solving problems in a range of meaningful situations.
Outcome 2: Use mathematics and statistics to meet the numeracy demands of a range of meaningful situations.

Go to the Sec-Numeracy pages.
Work through the modules.
If you are able to confidently complete the modules at the top end of Level 4 and the lower end of Level 5, you are likely ready for the Numeracy CAA. NB: This is not guaranteed!
If you are not yet able to complete the modules at this level, go back one stage and work your way up.
