Lynn Garey

1st Grade- Room 208

Welcome to First Grade!  My name is Lynn Garey and I am very excited to be a part of the St. Paul community.  After graduating from Ohio Dominican in 1992 with a degree in Elementary Education, I began teaching in the Diocese of Columbus.  Throughout those years, I taught preschool, kindergarten and first grade at St Mary School in Delaware.  I feel blessed to be able to continue my teaching career at St Paul as I have a true passion for working with our youngest learners.

Our first grade journey will be filled with fun, laughter and learning.  I look forward to helping each child progress in all areas of development and reach their fullest potential.  I enjoy teaching my students about our Catholic faith and watching them live this out in their daily lives.  In addition, I believe that the partnership between parents and teachers is crucial to a child’s success in the classroom.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.  I am excited to welcome Mrs. O’Neill.  She will be our classroom paraprofessional.  We are looking forward to a great year!

My husband and I have two grown children.  Our daughter, Emilie, has followed in my footsteps and is teaching kindergarten in the Cincinnati area.  Our son, Will, is currently a student at Xavier University.  He is majoring in Marketing and is running cross country and track for the Musketeers.  Whenever possible, I take the opportunity to watch Will compete.  I also enjoy spending time with my extended family and friends, reading and taking walks with our three dogs.
