My name is Mrs. Kate Davison
My husband and I both attend mass regularly at Saint Paul. We are also involved in the marriage ministry activities and various other organizations in the church. I love anything sparkly and I love to travel! My favorite country I've been to is Haiti, where I was able to zip line across a lagoon! I also love hiking in West Virginia, cooking and painting in my spare time!
In 2015, I had a 6 month position as a long term sub at the Goddard on county line rd in Westerville. I then taught second grade for three years in Vinton Ohio. After becoming engaged, I moved back up to the Columbus area and taught third grade for one year at Performance Academies. While taking RCIA classes at Saint Paul, I discovered that God was calling me to transition my career away from the public school system, and into the Catholic School system. I began at Saint Paul Elementary in 2019 as a preschool aide. When a position opened up in Kindergarten in 2019, I saw it as a great opportunity to further my career in the Catholic education field! This is now my second year teaching First grade at Saint Paul!
I received my bachelors in Elementary Education and a 4th and 5th grade endorsement from Marshall University in 2014. During that time, I also received a minor in American History! In 2016, I received my reading endorsement from Ohio Dominican University. In 2017 I became a certified childhood trauma educator. I am currently working towards a masters degree.
I was married to my husband Scott in 2018 and we live in Lewis Center with our cat Annie and our dogs Maggie and Mae! We are expecting our first child- a girl- at the end of August 2021 and are very excited for the gift of parenthood!
My Aide in my classroom is Handy Zabrocki .
