Hello! My name is Julie Sibley. I graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Early in my career, I worked for the State of Ohio at the Bureau of Disability Determination, where I was responsible for making medical decisions on Social Security Disability claims.
After the birth of my first son, Grant, I decided to be a stay-at-home mom to my three boys for six years. During that time, I pursued a longtime dream of becoming a Firefighter and Paramedic. I completed my EMT-B certification at Columbus State and earned my Firefighter II certification through Delaware Career Center. However, with three young children at home, I ultimately paused my paramedic training.
I often say I went to fire school to become a preschool teacher—but that’s exactly what happened! In 2013, I began teaching at Little Blessings Preschool and fell in love with early childhood education. When the preschool closed in 2019, I joined St. Paul School as a third-grade aide and was there for 2 years, followed by an additional two years in second grade.
Now that my boys are older, I’m thrilled to have my own classroom again and to be back with preschoolers—where my heart truly is. I currently teach Pre-K and feel so blessed to be part of the St. Paul community.
My husband, Ryan, and I live in Westerville and are proud parents of three boys: Grant, Evan, and Nathan. Our family has a strong connection to St. Paul School—Ryan and all three of our boys are graduates, and my mother-in-law, Kathy, taught at St. Paul for 18 years. She continues to stay involved by tutoring many current students in math.
Ryan and our oldest son, Grant, also graduated from St. Francis DeSales High School. Grant is currently attending Ohio University, and our twins, Evan and Nathan, are now students at DeSales as well. Much of our free time is spent cheering on the boys at their sporting events—Nathan runs cross country in the fall, and both Evan and Nathan play baseball in the spring and summer.
I am thrilled to be back in preschool and am so excited to watch these kiddos grow throughout the year!
