Hello! My name is Jenna Brader Durban. It is an honor and privilege to learn and grow alongside your child this upcoming year. I grew up in the Catholic school system, attending St. Matthias K-8, and went on to attend St. Francis DeSales High School, graduating in 2003. I graduated with a B.A. in English from Otterbein University in Westerville in 2009. From there, I went on to acquire additional skill sets teaching TESOL to students.
I live in Galena with my husband Kyle of 11 years with our two wonderful children, Gus & Via, who are currently attending St. Paul. In our free time we enjoy spending time in nature, walking, hiking, playing games & attending sporting events. We are long-time fans of the Columbus Crew, Cincinnati Reds & Miami Dolphins (although I truly only cheer on the Dolphins because of their team colors, don't tell my husband). This is a big year of change for our family not only with my teaching, but also with my husband becoming a part of the St. Paul family as the P.E. paraprofessional 4-8th grade alongside Mrs. Walker.
I am passionate on creating an uplifting, positive classroom environment for your child centered in clear instruction and expectation. It is my hope that through classroom discussion and critical thinking they tap deeper into their "authentic voice". We will practice inclusion and love for each other, mutual respect to all adults and peers, as well as a nurtured curiosity to our relationship with Jesus and Our Mother, Mary.
I am here for you as the parent, as well as your child, in any way that I can help serve. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to spend this year together and I can't wait to get to know one another more. Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions you may have.
