Announcements

  • Greetings parents and families! We will start our online learning plan on Tuesday March 17th.

  • Our first week will begin on March 17th and end on March 20th.

  • We will take the previously scheduled spring break week from March 23-27.

  • We will resume our online learning plan from Monday-Friday the week of March 30th - April 3rd.

  • Lexia for all students K-3 is starting the week of March 30th - April 3rd.

  • Google Meet, a tool for video conferencing, is now open for students as of March 30th. Please see the our Parent Tech Tips website for more information about how to make this a positive experience for your child. Just a few reminders about safety:

    • Please make sure your child’s device is physically situated so that the video “background” is safe for all viewers and protects your family’s privacy.

    • Per the Diocese of Columbus’ Protecting God’s Children policy, all video conferences with teachers must be recorded unless at least two staff members are present on the call. The recordings will not be shared or made public.

    • If you are not comfortable with your child video chatting but you would still like your child to participate in a group discussion, you can disable the video camera and/or the microphone in the Google Meet interface

  • A daily agenda for students in grades 4th-8th has been developed and will be updated throughout the week. You can access an updated agenda at 9 AM from http://bit.ly/sps4-8assignments.

Our Goals

  • We hope to provide meaningful learning experiences for the students so that they can maintain a sense of normalcy and routine. We believe this will help our students and families in this time of uncertainty.

  • We hope to give all of our students an opportunity to connect with their teacher and classmates throughout our time away to maintain a sense of community and belonging.

  • Based on each individual family's circumstances, we acknowledge that it is difficult to replicate a day in the classroom. We will be asking students to complete assignments from 2-3 different subject areas each day. This will allow families more flexibility while still giving teachers and students ample opportunities to teach and learn the standards.

Quarter Ending and Grade Card

  • Friday March 13th will be the official end of the third quarter.

  • Report cards will be published by March 27th. An all school announcement will be sent out when third quarter report cards are published.

  • Report cards for Q3 have been published and are now available on Schoolspeak.
