About Mrs. Schroeder
Hello, my name is Brenda Schroeder. I attended the Ohio State University and earned a bachelors degree in biology and a masters degree in science education. I have been teaching Science since 2012 and have been teaching Science and Theology at St. Paul since 2021. I previously taught at Gahanna Lincoln and Big Walnut high schools. I am currently teaching seventh grade Theology, eighth grade Science and working on the campus ministry time.
My husband and I live in the Sunbury area and are actively involved in parish life at St. John Neumann. Our four children attend St. Paul and we love being a part of this faith community as well. Our family enjoys sports, hiking and other outdoor activities.

Seventh Grade Theology Student Resources
The Agenda Document: Students can view this throughout the week to see what is happening in class and what is due each day. Teachers update it frequently and it contains a wealth of information for parents and students alike. It can be found here.
Binder: Students will collect loose documents like notes, projects and in-class activities in their binder. They will be required to number each paper and keep it in sequential order. This will ensure that students have all the course materials and will help them build organizational skills.
Our textbook: Our textbook is an excellent jumping off point for instruction. It also has many extra review questions at the end of each lesson or chapter. These may be assigned, or they could be used as an optional support for students that want extra practice. Students can access an online version at Savvasrealize.com
Google classroom: Digital activities and resources will be posted to Google Classroom.

Bell Ringer Notebooks: Students will be using their composition notebooks to create a bell ringer log book. This will include short daily questions or activities for student to complete at the beginning of each class period that are tied to the current unit.
Binder: Students will also collect loose documents like labs, notes and other activities in their binder. They will be required to number each paper and keep it in sequential order. This will ensure that students have all the course materials and will help them build organizational skills.
Learning Target Lists: At the beginning of each new unit the students will be given a list of learning targets. These are things they should know or be able to do by the end of the unit. Each activity, document, quiz, or test will be labeled with the appropriate learning target(s). This will help students understand the purpose of each assignment and will also help them determine what to study. For example, our first quiz will be over Unit 1 Learning Targets 1-3. To study, they would review any documents in their binder with Targets 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3 listed next to the title.
