St. Paul's robotics students are doing a great job! The SPLOT (elementary) teams are building, coding, and researching things like coral reefs. The CyBirds (middle school) have been hard at work writing code and building their starter bot from scratch.
Today, the Cybirds finally had everything put together enough to actually DRIVE their creation. It was really fun to watch them get the hub and baattery hooked up... and then discover that some fine tuning would be needed for the code they had written.
Thank you to all the support we have had so far -- from donated equipment, laptops, and the ever-valuable donation of mentorship -- we couldn't make this robotics program a success without you.

St Paul Ann Arbor is gearing up for another exciting season of FIRST Robotics. With the addition of 2 elementary school Lego teams and a middle school FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) level, we have doubled the number of students participating, from 22 to 45, in just one year. ! Students have been able to visit the U of M Robotics center and have started building for the competition season ahead.
We are reaching out to local businesses and community members like you. We are in search of corporate and individual sponsors who are passionate about empowering young minds in STEM. If your company supports or operates within the STEM field, or if you are a Thrivent member, we would love to partner with you! Your support will help us offset the costs of materials, supplies, and competition fees, allowing our teams to focus on innovation and learning. Sponsors will be recognized on our team shirts and the FTC robot itself.
How You Can Help:
Sponsor a Team: Contribute financially to cover essential costs.
Donate Supplies: Help us acquire materials for our robotics projects. We also have a specific need for a laptop with Windows capability (does not need to be new).
Together, we can inspire the next generation of engineers, scientists, and innovators. If you’re interested in learning more, please reach out to us (web contact form), or contact one of us directly.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a positive impact!
