SPAA Robotics

St. Paul Lutheran School, Ann Arbor, MI

St Paul Ann Arbor is gearing up for another exciting season of FIRST Robotics. With the addition of two elementary school Lego teams and a middle school FIRST Tech Challenge  (FTC)  level,  we have doubled the number of students participating, from 22 to 45, in just one year. ! Students have been able to visit the U of M Robotics center and have started building for the competition season ahead.

SPLOT - Elementary Robotics

Students build their own robot using lego robotics parts, and then write code using code blocks and iPads.  They learn STEM, problemsolving, and get hands on experience working through the challenges presented by FIRST Lego League.

CyBirds - Middle School Robotics

Students build their own robot using nuts, bolts, extruded metal parts; and are responsible for writing code and developing a game strategy.  The robot must be able to score points by achieving tasks in FIRST Tech Challenge.
