bcms 6th-grade science with mrs.thomas

Class overview

In 6th-grade science we are going to learn about the basics of science and engineering in middle school, as well as learn about earth science! Our year will include units on light, heat, space, weather, rocks, and natural disasters. In 6th-grade science, we will be using our iPads in class often, and we do not have a textbook. Students will rarely have homework, but are encouraged to talk about their learning at home with their family!

About Mrs.T (Mrs.Thomas)

Hello!

My name is Emma Thomas (she/her), and I teach 6th grade earth science at Battle Creek Middle School. I grew up in White Bear Lake and went to college at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities (go Gophers!). This will be my third year teaching at BCMS, and I am very excited to meet my 6th grade scientists and get learning!

Some fun facts: I love doing anything that is art-related or crafty, I am a big Marvel fan (Loki is my favorite character), my favorite color is yellow, and this summer I took two road trips- one to Nashville, and the other out to Glacier and Yellowstone national parks!
