Module #3: Place Value, Counting, and Comparison of Numbers to 1,000
*Next Test around November 12th-14th (I will announce a date once it gets closer).
*Please have your child study HW worksheets, exit tickets, and the study guide that will be sent home the day before the test. Students may use their math notes and notebook to help them complete assessments. Doing HW, completing lessons in class, exit tickets, and reviewing the study guide are all helpful ways to prepare for assessments.
Reading: Story Elements

Reading Comprehension: Identifying Characters, Setting, Problem & Solution
Daily 5 ELA Centers: Read to Self, Read to Someone, Listen to Reading, Work on Writing & Word Work
Phonics:
Fundations Unit #4:
-Suffixes (-s, -es, -ed & -ing)
-Comparison Endings (example: long, longer & longest)
-Long o Vowel teams (oa, oe, ow, ou, & oo)
-Vowel Teams ue & ew
*Trick Words (sure, use & used)- Packet due by Tue. 10/28)
Unit #4 Sound Quiz on Monday, November 3rd.
*Students may use their phonics notes and notebook to help them complete assessments.
*Students do not need to memorize words in "Trick Words" Packets. I send these home for your child to complete as additional practice to help them understand common words that aren't spelt as they sound. They can use their notes to help them on assessments.

Personal Narrative Writing Process: Generating Ideas, Story Planning, Strong Introductions, Writing the Middle & End using Temporal (Time) Words
