Good Afternoon My Most Amazing Parents & Artists,
Thank you so much to everyone who has sent me emails and pictures of their little artists making art or just their finished artworks. They brought a smile to my face! I love and miss you all.
I've created a YouTube channel called: Mrs. Leahey's Art Class. I will continue to email pictures, handouts, and links to my videos for everyone in K3-6th grades. I have posted three videos and they are numbered, so you can watch them in order.

You may have read in the Monday Note, we are in the middle of our annual St. Patrick School Halloween Carnival T-Shirt Contest. So, I decided to make a Halloween Themed artwork as our second art activity. We hold this contest in the spring, because student art skills have greatly improved and it gives the T-Shirt printing company time to fill our order by Registration Day in July. I've attached a handout with specific directions you can print and a picture of our 2018 T-Shirt for inspiration. On my YouTube channel, I've uploaded a video of me talking about the contest to your children, while wearing the 2019 T-Shirt. Normally, you would send your child's original artwork to school and I would get it in person, from the front office, or the classroom teacher. The deadline to submit artwork to me is TBD. Artwork is judged by a panel made up of our priests, "Specials" teachers, support staff, and administration. The contest is voluntary, so your child is not required to enter their artwork, if they don't want to.
Happy Creating,
Mrs. Leahey
