Students are required to take 3 years of Math AND complete Algebra II in order to graduate
*Math electives include: College Algebra, Trigonometry, AP Pre-Calculus (B or better needed in Algebra II with Trig), Probability and Statistics, and Financial Algebra.
Juniors and seniors can take Dual Credit Probability and Statistics with departmental approval.
Students may take AP Computer Science I as soon as sophomore year.
Students can earn college credit in the following ways:
Calculus I- 4 credit hours at most univiersities
Calculus II- 4 credit hours at most univiersities
DC Prob and Stats- 3 credit hours at most universities
AP Pre-Calculus and AP Computer Science- 3 credit hours at most universities; please see the College Board website to learn what scores are accepted at different colleges and universities.
