Crow-Miller is the author of WORLD OF ROT (Nautilus Book Awards Silver Medal winner and longlisted for the Massachusetts Book Award) and THANK YOU, OLD OAK. She is on the faculty in the Department of Environmental Conservation at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she also directs the Sustainability Science graduate program. A parent to three kids, she is also the founding director of CityWild, a nonprofit organization with the mission of inspiring curiosity about the natural world through fun, exploration, and hands-on learning for kids and families, including those in underserved and historically marginalized communities.

The first 75 families at each event will receive a free copy of one of the author’s books.
4:30-5:00 STEM Craftivity: Leaf and Bark Rubbings
The night will start with students creating leaf and bark rubbings, closely observing patterns, textures, and details from the natural world. The STEM craftivity will end promptly at 5:00 PM, so the author presentation can begin on time.
A limited number of grab-and-go kits will be available for families who arrive after the activity.
