Lindsey M. McKee |Chief Storyteller

Lindsey is a communicator, journalist, and storyteller. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Marquette University. Though taking a more corporate communications and public relations route in her professional career, her freelance work continues the journalism tradition sharing stories of people and communities.

She currently works for Crain Communications as a Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) marketing communications manager. In this role, Lindsey crafts a wide range of communications to promote SIA editorial, research, conferences, and services. Lindsey develops and executes communications strategies targeted to the staffing industry in addition to completing media and public relations duties. She also co-manages company social media platforms, encompassing content creation and posting.

Lindsey’s prior professional experience includes meetings and conventions communications manager for VISIT Milwaukee, content manager for Northwestern Mutual, communications specialist for UnitedHealthcare, and advertorial coordinator for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel to name a few past roles.

After nearly a decade of providing freelance writing and other communications services to local publications and organizations, Lindsey formalized her freelance communications business by founding Storyteller Symphony LLC. With the goal of composing beautiful stories for diverse audiences, Storyteller Symphony creates engaging and impactful communications to ensure meaningful stories have their time in the sun.

Lindsey is a member of ForbesBLK, Professional Dimensions, and the Rotary Club of Milwaukee. She is also an active alumnus of Milwaukee’s prestigious Forward 48 leadership development program.

She is Professional Dimensions’ vice president of racial equity in addition to serving on the board of directors. Lindsey has also provided leadership on boards of directors for the Milwaukee Press Club Foundation as well as the Public Relations Society of America. In addition, she is a part of Rotary Club of Milwaukee’s Understanding Structural Racism Committee and the club's Social Committee.

Lindsey is an elder at Immanuel Presbyterian Church and former deacon for the congregation. She serves on the church's Membership Committee and is a frequent guest liturgist.

When not telling stories Lindsey is writing poetry, enjoying yoga and exploring historic sites in addition to listening to and playing music as a clarinetist and beginner pianist.
