When and where to book

Nomadic Fishing:   We love fishing so to make sure we are in the best spot to catch the fish, we move a few times throughout the season.  Here is a breakdown of where we are going to be and what we will be targeting.  No matter what time of year, we are out fishing to make sure we are able to get you into the catch of a lifetime.

Vancouver area, Howe Sound and Gulf Islands  November 1st-July 10th :   November through April offers consistent fishing for next years feeder springs ranging from 5 to 20 pounds as well as excellent prawning and Crabbing.    May brings the opening of Lingcod and rockfish on the Sunshine Coast and Gulf Islands as well as some early returning coho for the Straight of Georgia.   June and early July continue to give us good ling cod, and salmon opportunities with fantastic weather as well.

Ucluelet  July 15-Aug 11:  By this time the big push of returning salmon coming back to Barkley Sound is in full swing and there are plenty of fish to be caught right near Ucluelet and throughout Barkley Sound.  Coho are present in good numbers spread out across all the popular fishing spots.  Bottom fishing is still very productive as well.  When a rod goes off during this time, anything could be on the other end.  The sea is truly alive right now.

Browns Bay, Campbell River B.C.  Aug 15-Aug 29:   Brown's Bay in Mid August is one of the Vancouver Island's best kept secrets.  We can't think of a single place on Vancouver Island where more tyee's (Chinook over 30 lbs) are caught and the next one might be yours!  Come and see why we make our personal fishing trips to this truly hidden gem.  This is a prime location for people who are prone to sea sickness as the waters are protected from swell and heavy wind much more than on the west coast.

Vancouver Sept1 - Nov 1st:  After a big summer on the west coast, it is time to head closer to home and on to the BIG SHOW!   The Fraser River supports some of the biggest runs of chinook and coho found anywhere on the southern coast.  Late August had us catching the big boys near West Vancouver  and over near the gulf islands. Starting Sept 1st we head out to the world famous Sandheads and t-10 areas to target the large number of giant chinook making thier way back home.   We had some of our most productive days for chinook during this period with fish over 20lbs being fairly common.  The end of this seasons return kicks off the fishing of winter feeders which seem to mix in right as the migrating fish disappear.
