The Stony Brook Synthetic Biology Society aims to provide a way for STEM majors and minors to stay connected to SBU research while fostering scientific growth and thinking.

First founded in 2016, Stony Brook Synthetic Biology Society connected their members to Synthetic Biology-oriented research and promoted the pursuit of a graduate degree in Biomedicine-focused research. While dwindling in membership in 2018, the club is once again revived in the Fall 2020 semester.
