Applications

There are many ways to receive support from QuADS NRT.

Here, you can apply to become a QuADS NRT trainee or apply for a travel and professional development award.

APPLY TO BE A QUADS NRT TRAINEE

We are currently accepting applications for graduate students who are interested in becoming QuADS NRT trainees!

To be considered for the 2022-2023 QuADS NRT Fellowship, please submit your application by March 15, 2022.

APPLY FOR A TRAVEL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AWARD

We are currently accepting applications for graduate students who wish to receive financial assistance to participate in academic or professional development activities.

This award can be used for travel, professional development training, workshops, and conferences, including in-person or virtual events.

This award is part of the NSF Research Traineeship (NRT) program's initiative to support graduate research training and professional development.

You must first apply to be an NRT trainee (application link to the left) in order to be eligible for a travel and professional development award. You can apply for a travel and professional development award even if you do not receive a fellowship and stipend support from the NRT program. You do not need to be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to receive a travel and professional development award. All graduate students in any participating NRT research group are eligible.

Students may receive up to $2000 each time they apply.

There are four deadlines each year (February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1) but we will also review applications on a rolling basis.

Our next deadline for this application is May 1, 2022.
