Joining As a Graduate Student

Prospective graduate students should email Dr. Percival with a CV and statement of research interests. Dr. Percival advises students that are part of the Interdepartmental Doctoral Program in Anthropological Sciences (IDPAS) or the M.A. program in Anthropology at Stony Brook University. Students and faculty in IDPAS have a wide range of research interests, including but not limited to comparative skeletal morphology, human genetics, primate behavior, paleontology, and archaeology. Any potential graduate students would need to go through the standard IDPAS application process. In previous years, application materials have been due in early to mid January for positions starting in the Fall of the same year.

Joining As an Undergraduate

Undergraduates seeking research opportunities in the Percival Lab should email Dr. Percival. Please include details about why you are interested in joining the lab, your research interests, and what you would like to get out of your time in the lab. Students completing their degrees in any discipline (e.g., Anthropology, Human Evolution, Biology, Engineering) are welcome to apply. Note that lab research for credit will generally only be offered to students that have volunteered for at least one semester in the lab and whose work has met with Dr. Percival's approval.
