      • I was invited to attend the Health Communication Summit at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, organized by Dr. Rebecca Ivic, Associate Dean for Research in the College of Communication & Information Sciences.

  • 2026/05/01 — SUNY AI & Society Spring Convening, Albany, NY

      • I delivered a faculty lightning talk at the SUNY AI & Society Spring Convening in Albany, NY, where I shared my research on women’s contributions to AI inventions and their role in advancing human-centered and women-centered AI technologies.

  • 2026/04/28–04/29 — International Network on Digital Labor (INDL) North America Symposium on Labor and AI, Yale University, New Haven, CT

      • I presented my research paper, “Gendered Labor in the Making of AI: Evidence from U.S. Patents,” at the INDL North America Symposium on Labor and Artificial Intelligence at Yale University.

      • I also chaired a session in the symposium’s doctoral colloquium.

  • 2026/03/29–04/02 — iConference 2026, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK

      • Tugce Gundogdu, our undergraduate research assistant at George Mason University, presented our paper, “Local News at a Distance: Psychological Distance and the Formation of News Deserts,” at iConference 2026 in Edinburgh, UK.
