Research Areas & Responsibilities
Prof. Hyunwook Koh, from the Dept. of Applied Mathematics and Statistics (AMS) at the State University of New York, Korea (SUNY Korea), is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated postdoctoral/master's-level researcher, research assistant or research intern who will conduct statistical and computational research primarily in the field of the human microbiome. The research topics include, but are not limited to: (1) artificial intelligence, machine learning, personalized medicine; (2) kernel methods, ordination methods, dimension reduction; (3) causal inference, mediation analysis; (4) population heterogeneity, batch effect correction; (5) multi-omics and multi-modal approaches; (6) repeated measures analysis, survival analysis; (7) web-based software development; (8) collaborative studies and data analysis.
Postdoctoral Researcher: A doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, computer science, data science, operations research or a related field
Master's-Level Researcher: A master's degree in biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, computer science, data science, operations research or a related field
Research Intern: A bachelor's degree in biostatistics, statistics, bioinformatics, computer science, data science, operations research or a related field
Research Assistant: An IGC (SUNY Korea, Ghent, Utah, George Mason) student
Competitive and negotiable. Graduate research assistants at SUNY Korea with a GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible for a monthly stipend and a full tuition waiver.
