Christopher O'Connor-Coates, MA

About Me

I am a doctoral candidate in the Interdepartmental Doctoral Program for Anthropological Sciences at Stony Brook University, working under Dr. Christopher Percival (lab website below).

My current research interests lie in the development and evolution of the knee joint during the hominin shift to bipedalism. I am interested in using a mixed methodological approach including functional morphology, animal modeling, and genetic analysis to understand why and how certain morphologies appeared in humans.
