Over the last 30 years, climate change has had an overt impact on the Earth's environment through carbon dioxide, greenhouse gases, and fossil fuel output. This has led to increased warming and melting of ice caps, which in turn has caused the water levels to rise significantly. This issue can be catastrophic for water-surrounded regions, like Long Island where the Stony Brook main campus is located, where flooding can become too unstable to hold off.  This website aims to inform users about the effects of rising sea levels, the need to find solutions to prevent it, and what can be done to help slow down its effects for the future.
