Particulate Matter

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, people in South Korea did not wear masks, even though the level of the PM was hazardous. According to a survey conducted by Joongang Daily, 60% of people did not wear masks in 2018. 71% of those people replied that they did not wear masks because of inconvenience. However, it is mandatory for all people to wear masks due to the pandemic nowadays, and despite the inconvenience, most people voluntarily wear masks.

We can infer from this phenomenon that people do not think of PM 10 as serious as COVID-19.
Our motivation is to make people acknowledge the danger of Particulate Matter, its effect on the climate, and thus encourage people to support the action of decreasing the PM level.
