The Wildcat Athletic Club (WAC) was established in 1999 to serve as a booster club for all athletic programs at West Stokes High School. In the initial years, WAC consisted of parents, community members and business partners in order to reach the goal of providing support for our student-athletes. Working alongside of the West Stokes Athletic Department, our Wildcat Athletic Club has consistently given student-athletes opportunities to enjoy their high school athletic experience.
We welcome any interested parent, community member or business partner to get involved to help make West Stokes the best athletic program around!

Our booster club, known as the WAC, provides funding support for the entire athletic program at West Stokes High School. We meet once a month to:
- Discuss upcoming fundraising opportunities.
- Get updates on current athletic need proposals
- Review financial statements
- Discuss short and long-term goals for West Stokes Athletics
HOW TO GET INVOLVED?

- Attend monthly meetings : 1st Monday of each month in the West Stokes cafeteria.
- Complete Brief Contact Survey to start receiving email information, updates, etc.

The support of ALL athletic teams falls completely on each individual school in Stokes County. West Stokes DOES NOT receive any funding from the school system for athletic programs except for coaching supplements. Every uniform, every piece of equipment, every playing surface is purchased and maintained by the West Stokes Athletic budget. Gate receipts, sponsorship, and concessions are simply not enough to fund the 28 different athletic teams consisting of nearly 400 athletes.

Our mission is to provide the additional support necessary in order to meet the needs of ALL teams. The Wildcat Athletic Club (WAC) gives our student-athletes the best experience possible during their high school careers by filling in the funding gaps of the West Stokes budget.

- Specialized equipment needs
- Athletic field maintenance
- Installation of Lights on Baseball & Practice Fields
- Creation of both Men's and Women's Lacrosse programs (only school in Stokes or Surry to field teams)
