ACT and PreACT

American College Test

What is the ACT?

The ACT stands for American College Test. It is, along with the SAT, one of two standardized tests that students usually take before entering college.

The ACT measures skills in English, math, reading, and science reasoning. You'll receive a score on each section and a composite score between 1 and 36. The ACT is offered during the school day for free to juniors at NC public high schools, otherwise it costs approximately $40.

North Stokes' School Code or CEEB Code is 342195

What is the pre-ACT?

The PreACT simulates the ACT with the four multiple choice sections. The results of the PreACT predict future success on the ACT. This test is designed for 10th graders and is administered only one time in October.
