-Edith full name is Edith Kenao Kankaole
-She was a Native Hawaiian composer, dancer, and a teacher
-Edith was born on October 30, 1913 and sadly passed away on October 3, 1979 at the age of 65 years old.
-Edith spent her childhood at the the beach or at a river catching fishes with her family then after eating them for dinner
-Edith has dropped out of her formal school, just before completing middle school
-Preserve Native Hawaiian culture, revisiting the Hawaiian language , hula and chant.
- At the age of 33 years old Edith has begun to compose traditional Hawaiian music and choreograph hula movements.
- Edith taught Hawaiian studies and language at the Hawai'i Community
