She was enslave for her childhood, she was a slave to estate of Johannes, after that Charles, then Hardenbergh. She did not have an education because she was a slave.

In the nineteenth century She was a very outstanding advocate for abolition. She also was very good for speaking for her women right and other. She got an invitation to meet the President known as Abraham Lincoln.

In 1967, she moved to live in Battle Creek, Michigan because some of her children live there. Even tho she was old, she still wanted to speak against discrimination. She was also concerned that other Civil rights put black men in front of black women. On November 26, 1883 Sojourner Truth passed away in her house.

She hated slavery and oppression, and she liked to help people by ending slavery.
She feared that no one would care about her speech, feared that slavery would continue, she feared that everyone would not be treated the same.
She was amazing for giving a speech to end slavery. She was also one of the most known in American History.
She wants to see when slavery ends, and she also wants to experience having women’s right.
