Childhood
Beverly grew up on a farm in Yamhill, a town that was really small and had no library. Her mother was arranged with the state library and had books sent to Yamhill and worked as a librarian in a cottage. Beverly loved books but when Beverly moved to Portland she was in a grammer school´s really low reading circle and hated watching the kids struggle to read. Beverly felt sympathized for the problems of people who struggled to read.
When Beverly was in third grade she had defeated reading and was always surrounded by books wether it was at home or in the library. Beverly's school librarian suggested to her that maybe some day she should write books for boys and girls when she grows up. The idea appealed to her and she decided that someday she is going to write books that she wanted to see on the shelves but never saw.
