To provide an effective adult education platform where learners are encouraged to construct their own knowledge of technology. Through student exploration of course work, students will simulate realistic situations they will experience in real workforce settings. Lessons will incorporate computer literacy development and specific course materials that promote the skills needed to succeed in future endeavors.
In accordance with the National Educational Technology Plan and the need to provide 21st Century skills, students will engage in relevant learning experiences such as real work scenarios, application of critical thinking, and problem solving. Students will learn effective communication skills through expressing, validating, managing and recognizing the use of emotional intelligence. The focus of this technology course will be to provide equity and equality in the delivery of instruction.
For adult learners to be successful, teacher will identify student learning needs and student goals. After identifying individualized student needs and goals, teachers will incorporate different learning styles to meet student needs and implement adjusted teaching plans. Evaluation of student progress will be based on individualized performance. Andragogy and constructivism theories will guide teacher in developing curriculum that is relevant to today’s workforce.
In these courses, students will have the opportunity to engage in whole-classroom instruction or opt for self-paced learning, utilizing Google Classroom as the primary platform. Coursework will be provided during class sessions, and students will use Google Classroom to complete and submit assignments. I aim to create an environment where students feel that my courses are the gateway to technology, empowering them to develop essential skills for the future while fostering a collaborative and interactive learning experience.
