Childhood
Amelia Earhart was born on July 24, 1897 to Samuel Stanton Earhart and Amelia Otis Earhart. Amelia Earhart primarily lived with her grandparents, she spent most of her time roaming outdoors daily. In 1908 Amelia reunited with her parents, not til a decade later Amelia's passion for flight rouse. A difficult few years past for Amelia and her family, sooner or later the family moved to St Paul, Minnesota in 1913.
Education
As a young child, Amelia Earhart was home schooled by her mom. In 1996 Amelia graduated from Hyde Park High School, she was most best at science. She later entered in Ogontz School, an excellent finishing school outside the borders of Philadelphia, She again exceeds with her studies and becomes Vice President of her class. Instead of graduating Amelia chose to volunteer at a Military hospital, as a nurse, for the wounded, during world war 1. Amelia enrolled in the pre-med program at Columbia University.
Accomplishments
Amelia Earhart achieved many accomplishments in her past few years. One of her most famous accomplishments was that she was the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean solo. Amelia also won the Distinguished Flying Across Award, she was also the first woman to do so. Earhart won the Harmon Trophy twice, along with the Legion of Honor Medal. She broke two flight records, one in 1922 and the other in her later years around 1933. To this day Amelia Earhart is still known for her most popular accomplishment and her love for flying.
