Brief history of Iowa
In 1812 Iowa was a part of the Missouri territory. When the Indians got kicked out in 1830's there was a lot of land and the residents grew. The U.S. Congress established that the land was Iowas in 1838. On December 28, 1864 Iowa became a part of the union and was admitted as the 29th state. The first capital was iowa city but then they changed it to Des Moines.

The most interesting fact I learned was.....That it was the 26 biggest state and that they were apart of the Missouri territory.
Reasons why you should go visit Iowa....It has awesome places to visit like a zoo and art museum and you can stop by and watch a college basketball game or a baseball game.
