What is Pre-Registration?
Pre-registration is a critical step in planning for the upcoming school year. It allows both new and returning students to choose their required and elective courses in advance, helping ensure access to the classes they need for graduation, college and career readiness, and personal interests. By submitting course requests early, students have a greater chance of securing the courses they want before schedules are finalized.
How the Process Works:
Current Stagg students will enter their course selections digitally through StudentVUE, an online portal that makes the registration process more efficient, transparent, and student-centered. Working alongside school counselors, students carefully consider their academic goals, graduation requirements, and elective interests before submitting their choices directly into the system.
For Incoming 9th Graders:
Stagg High School counselors visit our feeder elementary schools in late February to guide 8th grade students through the pre-registration process. Feeder elementary schools also visit our campus for a tour and engaging activities to learn about life in high school.
For Students Entering Grades 10–12:
Returning students complete pre-registration in late January through mid-February with counselor support on campus.
Family Involvement:
We encourage parents and guardians to review their student's course selections together. Family input is a valuable part of building a balanced and meaningful schedule that supports each student’s academic progress and future aspirations.
