Marie Curie was the youngest of five kids of two low-paid school teachers. After the passing of her mother, her father couldn't support her. meaning she had to be raised elsewhere with a new family. Marie became a governess, And in her time, reading and studying were her passions.
In 1891 she went to Paris to continue her studies at the Sorbonne where she acquired a Licencitateshipe in both Physics and Mathematical Sciences. Marie met Pierre Curie, a professor in the school of physics in 1894 and the previous year they were married. Marie had succeeded her husband as the Head of the Physics Laboratory at the Sorbonne, Marie also gained her Doctor of Science degree in 1903. The following death of Pierre Curie in 1906 was tragic, yet she took his place as professor of general physics in the faculty of sciences.

In her later years, she led the way for the Radium Institute (now Curie Institute) a radioactivity lab made for her by the University of Paris and Pasteur Institute. Marie Curie died at the age of 66 and was known as a young wonderful person and a famous worldwide scientist. She never gave up on her dreams and lived a young wonderful life. Pierre curie died a tragic death 1906
