Childhood
O´Connor was born in El Paso, Texas but spent much of her childhood on the (Lazy B), a cattle ranch in Arizona, where she learned all of her valuable skills and where she worked up a strong work ethic, which made her into the person she was.
Education
O´Connor went to Austin High School for 4 years then got accepted into Stanford University ( 4% acceptance Rate) then Earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. After then graduates Magna Cum Laude and ranks third out of 102 students at Stanford University. Finally she became a Supreme Court Jurist in 1981 for 25 years.

Her Accomplishments
She was the first women to have her name attached to a law school. In 1969, she was appointed to the Arizona State Senate, later becoming the first woman to serve as the state's majority leader in 1972

Later Years
She retired from the Supreme Court in 2006. After, she put her time advocating for civic education and judicial independence. She founded iCivics, a civics web-based education project to engage middle and high school students. She also served on various boards and committees, including the American Bar Association’s Central European and Eurasian Law Initiative and the National Constitution Center. She was awarded the Presidental Medal of Freedom for her lifetime achievement in 2009.
